I put mine in the case it came with a few times and it seems to work fine.

Microfiber cloth. Always. Maybe a Monster Screen Cleaner Spray from Best Buy...comes in a blue bottle, cost $20 but it works amazingly well. Google it I'm sure you can find it online/cheaper.

I use my shirt when I'm out and about, and I give it a wipe with the microfiber cloth I got with my HP laptop when I get home.

I use the cloth that came with my eyeglasses. Works like a charm!

for the best scratch protection, you want to use anything that is used on a camera lens... lens cleansing fluids and cloth work the best

The Monster Screen Cleaner is made specifically for LCD's, monitors, etc. Anything electronic or in a home theatre, that's why it's pretty expensive for not that large of a bottle. Won't mess anything up.

first to get rid of the major smudges I use gasoline, soaking it for about thirty minutes works wonders, then to polish it off I buffer the screen with a match. I just cant figure out why my G1 stopped working though.......

and they're hella inexpensive. camera lense cleaners - FTW!
Or you can do like homie up top did and get ripped off at best buy and buy MONSTER cleaner for $20

Seriously, who buys anything with the Monster logo? Monster is for people who believe in paying the apple tax.

edit** the cleaners the monster dude speaks about works well on matte screens as it uses a mild detergent and is great in comparison to windex which contains ammonia. Most of the matte screens have an anti glare coat and can be ruine by ammonia. Or you can save $20 and use a lint free cloth and a dab of dishwashing soap (palmolive/dawn/etc) and water, then dry. Cleaning this heavy duty screen with a soft t-shirt shouldnt do any damage to the screen.
Just trying to save you guys $$$ and make things easier. :)

I use a kleenex with a little water on it. Then a clean dry one to wipe it off
