Gmail Storage?

If you look in Manage applications and scroll down below Gmail you will see something called Gmail Storage. What is that? I can't figure it out and a search here and elsewhere found nothing.

i simply clicked on it and it said this...
its used to view configured accounts, discover known acounts
and it automatically starts on boot, ready sync settings,read subscribed feeds.
