I have my mp3s tagged with the album art. That works for me.

TUNEWIKI!!!! download it.. it finds the album art for you when a song plays.. Friggin sweet.. It has already found several album covers for me that I-tunes has not!!!

You can change it on your PC before syncing by right clicking the mp3 and going under properties.
