If you upgraded to get the g1 and extened your contract for another 2 years, can you return the g1 within the 14 day period and it would be like you never extended anything?

Yes, you are exactly correct, and when sending it back to T-Mobile you have to be sure that you put in my address, I'll be sure it gets to them. PM me for my address and we'll get it all worked out..

If you bought it from the store I wouldn't see why they wouldn't, but if you bought it online or over the phone I could see them saying no to you taking it back to the store. Thats one great thing I've HEARD about the Iphone is that no matter what the problem is you can take it in to the closest store and they'll give you a new one no questions asked (as long as its not water damage or something stupid, okay, so a few questions asked, but you get the idea..) I'd really like to see t-mobile adopt the same level of customer service. I wonder if thats HTC/Google's call or if its T-mobile's call.

I don't think it would be T-mobile's call, since in the case of the iphone you take it to the apple store. Or at least that's where my cousin takes it.

Touche, I didn't even think about that, man, Google needs retail stores! And with the way they are taking over the world I can't imagine it'll be long before they have some.
