my fone is locked, need help urgently!

so i had my fone down for a bit and then i picked it back up...so i had to unlock it...but instead of using my unlock code i just played around with the dots and then after a while it said i tried too many times and wouldnt let me try again...and now the only way i can get back on is if i put my fone account name and password in...which i did but it wont work...im pretty sure i have the right username and password since i wrote it down but its not letting me in....and it wont even let me try the pattern again!!...i cant even turn it off and taking the battery out and restarting that way doesnt matter cuz its STILL going to ask for the username and password...can some1 plz help me??

What's a fone? If you mean your phone is locked because you tried unlocking it too many times it should only lock you out for 30 seconds until you can try the unlock code again. A friend of mine tried to figure out the unlock code and after five unsuccessful tries the phone locks for 30 seconds and then lets you try again.

yea it does work that way but this time it asked me for my username

That's what I've seen as well, seems like he is describing somethign different though, maybe if you miss the code x5 with 3 consecutive hold times or something it wants gmail sign in?

Try it with and without it, did you use gmail before you got your phone? If not its possible you wrote down your username or password incorrectly in which case just go to gmail.com and select the option that says "Forgot Password" and you should be able to retrieve it to see if you wrote it down right. Beyond that I'm not sure whats going on.

lol...well w/e i just called and the specialist walked me through the reset process so yea it works now...only problem is i gotta import my contacts from SIM card again and if i actually had any pics or videos on the fone they would've been deleted

While on vacation my little brother thought he was Michael Dell or Bill Gates not sure but long story short he thought he could break the pattern on phone to unlock it. I have only had phone a few months and didn't think I would need my gmail address since I never use gmail is use aol. As it turns out my phone will only allow me back in if I enter gmail and password. Unfortunately I don't remember either and every where I have checked I am told the only way is to reset the phone. I will loose all my contacts. I have about 500 contacts on phone not sim and I am desperate need of help. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I cannot afford to loose all my contacts.

Go online and confirm your googlemail details. Click forgot password, and confirm it.
