I've had similar problems..

It often takes me several tries to get the notification tray to open up.. many times I have to resort to Menu/Notifications to open it, as using the sliding shortcut just doesn't work -- it pans the desktops.

Hmmm, I thought that maybe it was just me... I have had problems pulling it down. I think that mine could be solved if I could calibrate my screen for my finger. Is there a way to do that? Anybody?

just stick the tip of your finger in a electric pencil sharpener!

try rebooting your phone. I was having a couple of issues with my G1 including not being able to pull down the notification window at times. I reboot my phone and haven't had any problems since.

Same here. Takes at least 5 seconds to open messages sometimes plus the bar takes a few tries and doesn't slide smoothly

May try to reboot. Cant save pics/vids from mms so dont see a excuse to not delete everything.....I know I have opened at least 8 phone apps and at least another 13-15 from the market.

strange, i have never had problems unless my phone was being bogged down by running too many things at once say imeem and andnav at the same time then switch back to home screen and it takes 3-4 seconds or more for it to load and respond

but once its there it responds correctly all the time

if a reboot or a fact reset does not clear up the problems with the touch screen i would call cc and tell them about your problems becuase it sounds like you might have a bad screen
