Has anyone heard when Google will be adding the rest of the Bluetooth profiles? I'm a big A2DP user and need it fast.

I looked at the Android source code. They're using a standard open-source Bluetooth stack (bluez) which supports A2DP, but there is no support for it in their framework yet, so it seems like it will be a while.

This is good feedback. So you're saying the Android OS does not have code written to handle the other bluetooth profiles?

There are three layers to the code -- the Bluetooth stack (bluez), the framework which does the C to Java translation and then the application itself. I have no experience in coding for Android but I can imagine that the majority of the effort goes into the framework. The current use of Bluetooth among the apps is limited to the "Phone" app, and of course, the "Settings" app. For A2DP, the support will have to be in the Music App, or maybe some kind of mechanism that provides it as a generic sound output device.
As far as I can see, only handsfree and headest profiles exist right now.
