quick question about copy and paste function

hey all, I dont have a g1 yet and had a question. I've been lurking the forums for a while and tried searching but couldn't find anything on this. I just wanted to know if it was possible to select a certain portion of text in a sentence instead of the whole sentence. From the video I've seen it appears to select the whole thing. Just wondering if it was possible to select just a portion of say, a paragraph. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Indeed I've seen it in a video somewhere, but I wasn't able to do it when I was browsing.

Can you tell us how to copy a portion of text available on a paragraph?

Just hold shift and roll the trackball until the portion you want is hilighted, then hit copy.

i don't think you can its a selective copy/paste if its in a text field (i.e. where i typed this) or a link you can copy it all then delete what you don't want when you paste.
