I went to a local mall (a large one - Alderwood Mall near Seattle) and had a shield put on. It's called Gadget Guardz. It would be almost impossible to know that it is on if it weren't for the hair under the screen (did not notice until I got it home) and an edge not fully adhered. No biggie... lifetime warranty so I will take it back and have it re-done. It was about $35 for the shield including installation. My son did his own installation of a different brand on his IPhone. Seems to work well. I still use a horizontal holster (Body Glove) for carrying it around on my belt.

got mine on today. Fit is better than expected. Only thing that sucks is that they are molded in white plastic and the edges aren't color matched to the outside so you get a white line around the exposed edges. Sharpy fixed it pretty good though.

I got the "rubberized" version which feels just like the phone does.

No regrets, except that place above has them for a little cheaper... :p
