Quick answer - will the dash/wing car charger work for the g1

I just bought one at tmobile and they told me that the dash/wing charger will work . But u know how much tmobiles employees knows . So just making sure and I don't want to ruin my phone even tho it seems to work . Thanks

Well why call then if you know so much whats the point in waisting your time AND THE csr's MR.G1 expert? I mean if you were so knowledgeable over the phone you would have known the answer to your question. Also someone you may have talked might like a simple X495 samsung and could care less about the data phones they may just have the basics over it, and our info will not state if another phones charger is compatable. We assume most people would use the products designed for their device and not try to use another. So dont get made when someone goes into the Mickey D's were you work and say you dont know how to flip a burger O.K.?

I would agree, ive found ALOT of tmo employees dont know a whole lot about whats going on. Their CSR is great. but when it comes to phones via tech or the stores they arent very knowlageable.

i have lots of examples but one is... my mom went down to the tmo store to get a g1, and both employees told her that the new SK is the most innovative phone out right now. :eek:

You assume that and then tell the customers the opposite? Sorry, but dude here has a point. I wouldn't trust what the people at the t-mobile store tell me either. They do in fact seem to have a general lack of knowledge about some of the products they sell. Not all of them, some of them. I'm sure you are a genius and all, but administrating an IQ test on the spot to determine the intelligence of the sales person giving me advice ain't my business, so I find it's better to just assume they are wrong and ask someone who might actually know, like the poster did.

By the way, if the way you handle criticism of t-mobile is in any way indicitive of the general professionalism of the average employee there, I'd say that goes to further the stereotype.

I was very happy to know that i can use my dash charger and car charger on the G1. I saved about 40 bucks not having to buy new ones. :)

In my experience ive found that Motorola is the only company that has Mini usb but wont work with other brand chargers.

Like my BB charger wouldnt work on my girlfriends razor but her razor charger would work with my BB.

I just want to give everyone here what I give my customers the RIGHT info and get kinda sick of seeing people bash our employees. With your job do you not have pride in your company were you work? actually, motorola mini usb chargers work fine on htc devices... blackberries are the ones that are typically harder to find a charger for other than their manufacturer branded ones...

its all in the pins, diferent amount of pins used/some aren't utlilized
