new app for volunteering

Why isn't there an app combining the idea of a flash mob with the intention of volunteering in the community. Put it to good use.

Maybe a database where people can enter volunteer requests and then others can find volunteering requests based on their proximity? Then you could do a volunteering flash mob, meetup then pick a volunteering request and get on it.
