How to save contacts *to* SIM???

So I already know how to import the contacts FROM the SIM card... but anyone know how to save them back to the SIM?

I somehow unknowingly managed to erase all my contacts from my phone, and had to reimport them. Well when I imported them the first time I changed a lot of things around (different numbers under different names, etc) But it would be nice if I manage to erase them again, to just hit "import" and have them be how they were after I changed them around.

I couldn't figure it out either. I had to use another phone (sony ericsson) to backup to sim and then go back on my G1 and hit import again.

i was wondering how to do this as well...I'm guessing they figure since our contacts are synched up to gmail/google now we don't need to synch them back in the card, but in your case since you lost them on the phone i take it they no longer were in gmail either? let us know.

and oomikeyboy can you tell us how you backed them up to the sim using another phone? thanks
