I have no clue why they call these people "PDA or Blackberry Specialist". They don't know anything, I mean I know more things about the damn phone than them and they sit at a desk all day surrounded by the damn thing. They get all of their info from a computer database in front of them just like us, What the hell is the reason for them working there if they are to no assistance. (:mad: at the same time)

Yeah, I've found through calling to talk to them three different times that they don't know much about our phone. Hopefully they'll do some better training and they'll be more helpful in the near future.

This is not an issue only with them not knowing much about the G1.
I spent 40 minutes today at the new T-Mobile store in my area upgrading to a G1. I had even called the day before, repeated myself after every sentence for the guy I talked to, who said he'd put the notes and what not on the account so there'd be less hassle when I went in.
The majority of the time he spent on the phone saying the same things over and over very clearing for the man to comprehend.
I did end up getting a white one though he'd mentioned they were sold out previously.
I'm not too upset about the outsourcing over all, but when it turns in to problems for the customer(me).
Oh well, Idid get the phone. :)

Everytime I have called for support on my g1 the "specialist" The only thing they suggest is factory reset on the phone.

They're not specialists regarding the phone itself, but the phone users ;p
