so who has tested the 3MP camera?

With no flash on this phone it seems like one would have no chance of taking pics of their partner without clothing, in the dark. Gotta head to the bathroom, make sure its light outside or head outdoors during the day. Should be a problem in vegas.

Can anybody who has the G1 post pics taken with the cam? I don't plan to use it for taking really good pics or anything, I have a cam for that, but for quick mobile pics to twitpic, etc, I would like to.

The pictures are of good quality when in adequate lighting conditions. It also does macro very well. However, when indoors in low light, it gets very grainy.

First picture is a grainy indoor picture in low light. Later in the thread you can see pictures with better lighting conditions and it looks a lot better.

I haven't tested the camera yet but after seeing other people's pictures taken by the G1, I have to say it's better than other cell phones. But not as good as the upcoming phones that is coming to T-mobile that is made for taking pictures.

Camera response time is very slow. Takes forever to just take the dam pict. It can get annoying, but hey, I got a camera to take picts, not my cell phone.
