White G1 Still Coming

I talked to a T-Mobile customer Rep yesterday and I asked was the white G1 discontinued. She Quickly told me that issues with the paint have been fixed and they are going to launch it in Novembver around Thanksgiving. If you want more info call and ask !

You think they'd let you do an exchange for color. CA has a 30day return, wonder if you can say can i get an exchange instead, maybe pay the 10dollar re-stocking fee. hmm

Something funny, with Apple if you want to return something you have to pay a 15% restocking fee if opened. Unbelievable.:confused:

Anybody know if it's the two toned white (white front, grey back) or the (almost) full white? I read that the two toned one was just an early design and has been replaced by the full white one, I hope that's true. Otherwise I'm going to be holding out until the next (good) Android phone..

The guy that told me when it was coming out, said he saw a white one that a TMO Exec was using, and that the back was white. So I would guess it would be the mostly-all white model that is released.

Just a guess though.

i wish i could exchange my black for the white, but i only have 15 days to return this one and i got it on the 20th so it would be to late :(

You can't trade your phone in for a white after the 14-day buyer's remorse period. If you're within the period, you're subject to a $10 restocking fee. Finally, white sucks due to keyboard lighting problems similar to those of the Bronze version. I really don't understand how they thought that a silver keyboard with a white backlight would work? I wish they would switch their backlight to blue/green/red anything.

Also, keep in mind that if you return your phone within the 14 days and then get the White one later, you will not be allowed to exchange it/return it anymore. The buyer's remorse period starts immediately when you purchase the phone, regardless.

You know there is or will be someone working on some kind of mod to change the color of the back lighting just like with the trackball on the Pearl.

I returned my g1 yesterday and now i am waiting to make a decision either to get a white iphone 3g or wait for the white g1.

I asked a rep yesterday and she told me basicly that the g1 paint was chipping off and its going to be available around thanksgiving.

i dunno if i can go this long without a phone though.

i spoke to a TMO rep and they confirmed the white on Nov 20, if thats hold up to be true then only 2 more weeks :)
