In general, I'm the happiest person ever with my g1! Initially, I preordered mine on October 5th, when it came out October 22nd and I went to check it out in the store, I couldn't help but to cancel my preorder (that was supposed to come on November 10th) and get it in the store.
Straight from the Tmo store, I went to work, where I did not put my phone down for one second. Its now the 24th, and I haven't charged my phone except for while sleeping, and while at work, so I won't gripe about the battery drain. I can stop checking the android market for updates and my friends, family, and most of all my girlfriend are nearly ready to throw my g1 away because of how obsessed with it I am.
Reading the posts on here, I'm curious about the ota updates & such, I haven't gotten any.. seems like most everyone has- am I supposed to do something?
As for the apps go, I love them. Its been launched for two days and look at how many apps have been created. I'm so faithful in all the 3rd party developers and think that they're doing great. Can't wait to see what new comes!
What I can't stand is all of the complainers on here. Not enough apps, battery sucks, camera is bad, 3g, blaaahh. Google and Tmobile wouldn't be saying how apps will make the phone if it weren't true. I dpont understand how so many people are on these forums just to gripe, if you don't like the g1- return it! There are small glitches or oversights in the phone, (slightly tilted screen, slow browser, etc) but I really LOVE my g1, and want to read about updates and new things for the phone, and general discussion, not nagging from people who don't like phone.
