Use for USB device option no longer appearing and working

I saw this option before under SD card & phone storage. Its not there anymore this morning after the update. I can no longer view my SD card's folders and files as well. It worked fine yesterday before the update. I connected my phone to two different computers , one with Vista and one with XP, still the same issue. Both times it recognizes the device and brings up a Removable Disk drive, but when clicked upon it says "Please insert a disk into drive..." My SD card seems fine and is recognized by the phone. What happened to this functionality?

from other people that got the update, when you plug in the phone to a pc, you will get a notification in the top bar with a usb icon. If you click the notification, it will ask if you want to turn on mass storage. I think you have to do this to enable viewing files on the card, etc.

Glad I saw this before I got the update, I'd of been all sorts of worried. Hah.
