I got a notification that some system updates are ready, so I pushed 'Install'; when they were ready, I got the new notification: that my SIM card is full, so I need to delete some mesages. So I pushed Ok, and now the messaging section has been in 'Refreshing' status for about an hour (no exaggeration!).

 What's up with that?! Now I cannot send txt msgs...

I would suggest setting it so that texts are on the phone/memory card, not on the SIM.

the day i got my phone, I got an alert saying that my sim card was full - gotta delete some messages, etc

so i went, i deleted, I waited.

The thing said refreshing for about 5 minutes as i waited... then i got impatient.

I hit "home" and then went back to those settings, and it said "refreshing" for about 3 seconds, and then "No messages on the SIM card."

It does the same thing now.

All I can suggest is that you reboot the device... (i know... I'm the most helpful, clever person in the whole world!!)

is there such a setting? I must have missed it...

But after I did everything I did in my previous post, no more messages are saved to the SIM... it just stopped... now they are all saved on the phone... automagically.

Thank you, guys
If I reboot the phone right now, will it interfere in any process (like Refreshing lol)? Or should I wait a lil' bit more?..

Could have sworn I hit something to this effect...may have been while I was importing things from the SIM. But yea, mine doesn't save to the SIM at all. It all goes to the phone/sd card. I'll keep looking to see if I can find it.

:) "automagically", and it's variants, are some of my favorite fake words. :)

edit: fixed

Woot woot! The moment I turned 3G, I was able to access the messaging app.
But... While there, if I hit Menu>Settings>Manage SIM card msgs, it's still refreshing :0

I posted this same question a couple of days ago. No solution was found other than putting my sim in another phone and deleting the texts from there.
