hello all
i've recently picked up a couple of headphone adapters for my G1
i have this one (http://www.amazon.com/T-Mobile-Mini-USB---3-5mm-Headphone-Adapter/dp/B001W4BP70/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1295543689&sr=8-17) which worked relatively well minus the annoying button and bulky microphone part
and then i have this one (http://www.amazon.com/OEM-3-5mm-Headset-Adapter-Converter/dp/B001RXTDP2/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&qid=1295543708&sr=8-25) which is only good for charging and listening at the same time but is useless on its own for headphone use. apparently this used to work with headphones but stopped working after an update (?).
i would like to be able to use the second adapter (this one (http://www.amazon.com/OEM-3-5mm-Headset-Adapter-Converter/dp/B001RXTDP2/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&qid=1295543708&sr=8-25)) while charging with headphones and move to a less bulky adapter when i am not charging (possibly something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Hands-Free-Headset-Adapter-Speaker-Diamond/dp/B002VH9GTG/ref=sr_1_21?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1295546430&sr=1-21)).
my phone has whatever updates T-mobile has provided (it says 'your system is up to date') and the build number is DMD64, firmware version 1.6
i'd appreciate some help with possible options - thanks
