Music issues

I bought a 4g card from a friend who had it on his moto q put a pics file, vids file, and song file. now the g1 picked up the vids and the pics but wont pick up the songs at all...is there any way of formating the card?? what can i be doing wrong??thanks for all the help...

rename the file from "songs" to "music". it should work then.

So the music player doesn't scan for music automatically? You have to name the folder "music" for it to pick it up? I was under the impression it doesn't matter what you name the folder.

I'm not sure, but it worked for me.

figured out the problem apprently with vista u cant drag and drop. when u do it makes what ever you drag and drop a shortcut thats why the songs werent loading up...thanks any ways.
