Micro SD Card HELP!

Hey guys,

I have a Sandisk 8gig card that I loaded all my music & pics on the other day, well I tried to plug the phone into my Windows PC @ work yesterday and it said it couldn't recognize the disk & would I like to format now & I chose to hit "no". Well now I cannot get it to read on my computer or G1 @ all. :( the computer will not recognize it what so ever. If anyone knows how to fix this please, please advise.

Try formatting it on your pc so nothing is on it and then inserting it back in your phone and see if your phone likes that better.

thats just the problem, my pc wont even recognize it

Try putting the card reader in a different USB port in your current computer and if that doesnt work,try putting it into a different pc.

no sir, i actually have it in a sandisk reader that works fine with my 1gig chip but no all the sudden not with my 8gig. when i dod all this yesterday i had the 8 gig in the phone and plugged it into the comp with the usb cable and thats when it asked me to format it and i said no and then now it wont see the chip

am starting to think it could be a defective memory card then. Hopefully you can return it if not call the manufacture. At least it will be cheap to ship it back if you need too :)

thats just the thing, it was working great, i was jammin to some music in my car on the way in to work yesterday but then when i plugged it into my computer it screwed up :(

Some card readers cannot read SDHC cards. Make sure the card reader can actually read an SDHC spec card.

Just in case you were wondering, SDHC covers cards larger than 2GB in capacity.

yeah it is, i have been using the sdhc card reader that was supplied with my sandisk card for a few weeks now, bought it early in prep for the g1. I actually just got a computer to see it and try to format it but it keeps failing, says unable to format, i think i might have burned it up or something :(
