I haven't scratched the screen yet.
And yes it is made out of glass.
I left the plastic cover on it too. I haven't taken it off yet.
It's been lasting pretty good without bubbles.
How well has yours lasted?

I also left the plastic on.. Pushing out the air bubbles was a bitch tho.. lol..
I plan on leaving it an for a while, until I figure out which is the best screen protector..
Atleast with the plastic cover that came on the screen, it does not get all greasy from your face or fingers.. :D:D

Assuming the screen is glass why would you need a screen protector for anything but to reduce smudging?

i left the plastic on the screen too, there was one giant air bubble in there when i first bought the phone but i was able to get that out and hopefully it stays on for a while lol

I've left the plastic cover on the screen and the one "protecting" the underside of the screens swivel out. I intend on keeping it on until it wears out. Had it a week no bubbles. I have also not dropped it; yet.

I took the plastic off right away. How is the screen sensitivity with those screen protector invisible shield products?

i purchased the boxwave anti glare. wow what a nice product, got every single bubble out. i would recommend it, plus its reusable, which i don't know, i don't think washing it would work, hah.

How is the screen clarity with that protector on? Usually I find that anti-glare products like that significantly reduce the clarity of the screen.
Thanks

i accidently walked around for a few hours with my keys in the same pocket - no scratches though - i took off the protective plastic too.
Personally I'd rather scratch it than spend my life worrying about keeping it perfect, but so far I've failed to scratch.

see i was thinking just like you
have an iphone right... i was like screw steve job i own this phone it doesnt own me right... just drop it in the pocket! (with just a screen protector)
a year or so down the road the phone was obviously scratched up... when i got my g1 i ended up giving it to my mom (iphone)
i wish it had a ivisibleshield on it... or even if i had sold it on ebay it would have definatly got more in value.
bottom line ill install invisible shield on the G1... put it there and forget about it, after a year or so it should still be in perfect shape and i didnt worried about it...

still carrying it in my pocket with no scratches... i "trained" myself to not put anything in that pocket... change, keys, etc. cause that's my phone carrying pocket. I did it with my last phone.
plus i own a VW so i only have the single key flip out key fob... don't carry my house keys or any other keys with me... i have a garage door opener, the other keys i might need are in my car in case i do need them..

i think it's fine, clear, everyone who has used it didn't even realize there was a screen on there.

Ok, I have a scratch on mine just under the TMO logo, Yes it's hard plastic. My 14 days are not up yet either.:o
I think I will try to buff out the screen and see if it will go away, but before I do that, does anyone know if it will do anything to the touch ability in that area?
Stupid fricking screen, or me!
