Hey guys,
I am an exchange student from Germany and really like the htc aria so I am about to buy it, but in Europe we have a the european version of the hatc ari, the "htc gratia" . All tec specs are the same but the 3G band : Aria:"HSPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM; Dual Mode UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (1900/850MHZ) & GSM/GPRS/EDGE (Quad band 850/900/1800/1900MHZ); HSDPA/UMTS (3GPP Release 5 Compliant; 7.2 Mbps Enabled) EGPRS Functionality"
Gratia:"Netz
Asien-Pazifik-Region:
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz"

Will I have problems in Germany to have fast Internet ?

And an other question: If I root my phone to froyo, will it slow down?

Thanks you for your help

Miskito

if you buy it in Germany, AT&T has the same 3g bands otherwise you have t-mobile on edge, the other networks are not GSM. IF you are buying it in USA then AT&T is your best option to get 3G in europe. you'll need it sim unlocked too unless you're planing on paying a fortune in roaming chages.

Thanks for your reply. Are you sure about that, because I read that some att aria user had problems in europe with getting 3G. I was planning on buying an att aria unlock it and use my t-mobile sim card in it in my last % month in America. Is that gonna that work?
