Under "Settings | Data synchronization | Calendar" I have a red exclamation point next to Calendar. It hasn't synced up since 4:51pm.

Anyone else seeing this?

no, did you try just tapping it to see if it turns green? or soft reset?

YESSSSS. Have the same issue, and I've done everything short of.. well.. no, just about everything. There has to be an underlying issue with this. I've checked on my google account on my PC and i cannot find anything. There is nothing I can do on the phone for this either. I've done hard and soft resets, I really do hope someone has an answer for this. My calendar synced on the first day but hasn't since. Contacts and G-mail are current though, it just doesn't make sense.

call tmo and get transferred to tier 3 support

I called three times and got transferred to tier 2 every time, however when they went to transfer me to tier three you could tell that they blatently hung up the phone, or did not know how to use the "hold" button on a telephone, because right after they said "ok, hold on, let me transfer you to tier three" it hung up. I got extremely tired of calling in and going through the hoops to get to where I was getting each time so I decided to give up and try again tomorrow.. The lady on tier three was telling me to push the little red exclamation point and that would take me to another screen that would allow me to sign back into my gmail account, but what she didn't realize was that pressing that icon just highlighted the entire "Calendar" row which selected, or de-selected it from being synced. At no point did it take me to another screen and for some reason they could not understand what I was saying.

My Google Calendar keeps reverting to Time Zone: Indiana . . . grr!

Setting it in Google Settings online does no good.

As a result, my appointments are one hour off, since I'm in Central.

Yeah mine says Detroit. WTF?

My calendar has synced in the past, so I'll give it a day and see if it clears up with Google.

Mine has been like this for about 3 days now, hopefully yours will work tomorrow, then it will give me some hope..

Actually, now that I look again, mine stopped working on the 22nd at 4:51pm. Not today! So it's already been a couple days.

I really don't use the online calendar that much, so it's not a huge deal for me, but it's gotta be an issue with Google. The Sidekick did this sometimes...not updating or syncing wirelessly, etc...

We'll see!

What I don't understand is that its only a select few of us that are having this problem, and its only calendar, not gmail or contacts. Try to push down on the exclamation point icon next to the check mark for the Calendar and see if it pulls up another screen or if it just selects and de-selects the check mark (if that makes sense.)

It's gotta be the First Release Blues.
I'd just wait as see if it clears up. grr.......

Yeah it just selects the item...you can tap on the exclamation point.

I assume you meant "can't". Yeah, thats what I was desperately trying to explain to CS and she had no idea what I was saying. Kinda frustrating really. If there are any t-mobile/google employees PLEASE help us, this is the only thing that is bothering me about my G1!

try turning off/on auto synchronization from the options menu. It'll re-sync all your data.

I've tried that as well but to no avail.

I started a thread earlier with my calendar issues: http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f12/calendar-issues-4492/

Here is what I'm experiencing:
Anyone experiencing major calendar pains? When opening calendar, I just get a black screen and it does NOTHING, I press back and it does nothing. Finally I'll just press home and it asks me to force close or wait.

I have validated Data Sync and everything has been synced except for Calendar. Last night I attempted a calendar synced thinking it would take all night and NOTHING. Anyone have any ideas or experience the same thing?

Just got off the phone with TMobile...another pointless 45 minute phone call.

They have really no idea what's going, or why. She wrote up a trouble ticket. So, we'll see.

Yeah, I guess I just don't understand what the problem is, not everyone is having it, and the few that are are mainly affected with the calendar and everything else syncs up fine.

Add me to the list of people not getting my calendar synced. So much for seemless google integration.

Well, I seem to have found a quick fix for this (no thanks to t-mobile support, they had no idea what they were doing.) Pull up the menu, go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Calendar>Clear Data, then go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Calendar Storage>Clear data, then pull up the calendar and it should say "Data will be available shortly" (<--Paraphrased, not sure what exactly it said) and it should sync up fine. I have no idea what the problem is, but this seemed to fix it for me, other people should try it and let me know what happens.

I found it was when i imported my calendar it would not sync. I ended up just manually putting in my 200+ calendar entries and everything syns fine.

Hey, thanks for that!
I actually got a replacement phone today and after turning it on and logging in, my calendar sync started working again.

Thanks for the update though. I'll try that next time it happens :-/

Anyone have any luck getting their calendars to sync? I'm still unable to sync and when I launch the calendar I usually get a black screen and then I'm prompted with the "force close" option still.

I even broke down last night and called customer care hoping that they would know a fix but they just walked me through wiping the device . I'm honestly hoping that RC29 will address the calendar syncing issues.

Has anyone had a problem with all day events and an alert? For example, I have an all day event to remind me of a birthday with a reminder set at 10 min before the event. That should be 11:50pm of the previous day, right? Well, it reminds me at 6pm the previous night. Every other reminder on specific times work, but the all day ones are kinda wonky.

Anyone have this problem? solution? I have tried factory resetting and checked my time zones, which are correct on the gmail site. Anyhelp would be appreciated. It's nothing detrimental.
