When I connect my phone to my computer (both my home and work computer), I get an error message that pops up. Anyone seen this?
Do you want to scan and fix removable disk?
->Scan and fix (recommended)
->Continue without scanning

seeing as there are no drivers to sync the g1 with your computer, that is probably whats going on...
other than that, check your settings and see if "use as usb mass storage" is checked as this will allow your phone to be recognized as a USB drive and can drag and drop items into it... other than that, probbaly will have to wait for an update

Yeah, I've got that checked. I've always just clicked continue without scanning. I sure don't want Bill Gates "scanning" my phone, whatever that means.

that happens with a lot of things that i plug into my computer. like my cf card from my camera and all my usb sticks. i always click continue without scanning. i think its just cuz vista sucks.

vista isn't that bad, that is if you get the ultimate version... all the other "packages" of windows vista are terribad

maybe. i dont know maybe. cuz when using illustrator or photoshop its slow on my computer. but when on my other computer(xp) its faster. also if i try to directly connect my camera to the comp it wont allow it.
but other than that vista is ok. i guess.

I get that error. Just ignore it. Works either way.

You'll be fine. If you scan, it reformats some of the file names so it's annoying as heck... I thought my card was corrupted, so I allowed a scan (BB Curve) and it modified all the picture names (over 400 taken on the phone) to fun DOS-friendly names... IMG003~1.jpg... wasn't fun restoring them!
