Android Contacts (XPERIA X10a)

I am using the Sony Ericsson Experia X10a. Recently all my Facebook contacts started showing on my Contacts/Phonebook as well, I turned of the function so that it would not sync the contacts with FB but the ones that are synced on my phone already remains there and I have a phonebook that unnecessarily populated and crowded now. When I try to delete individually, it will not let me do it. Does anyone have an idea how to remove them without taking out all contacts. Or if I remove all contacts, since it updates with my Gmail contacts, will it delete my Gmail contacts too?
