Wondering what's the actual size that a wallpaper must measure in order set as a wallpaper..but I'm actually speaking to be viewable full size because I just downloaded a few wallpapers that measured 320 x 480 and I was forced to capture about half (at most) of the full picture....

Anyone understand what I mean?

I'm assuming the wallpaper has to be smaller than what I mentioned correct? If so, exactly how much?

Thanks in advance :-D

This is my favorite Wallpaper site, mainly for beautiful widescreen 1680x1050 ones for my 20" widescreen LCD:

http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/downloads/date/widescreen/1680x1050/
http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/downloads/date/mobile_devices/

They have 800x480 listed. I suppose we could download and edit it accordingly, or mention the G1 rez to them and get them to add that to their list so there's wallpaper in the size already.

but my problem is that when i try to set as wallpaper, in the next screen a small window comes up as if i have to select an area of the wallpaper, similiar to when adding a pic to your myfavs ...

how can i have the full picture as a wallpaper rather than the small portion? get me?

Download the GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/windows/).

Get 1024x768 version of wallpaper, save to computer.

Open the GIMP, open wallpaper, scale image and change the width pixels from 1024 to 640 and 768 should change automagically to 480. Save file - voila! G1 Wallpaper ready to be copied. :)
