Third Party Apps [Archive]

Well, I see that the G1 has the ability to install third party apps (menu->settings->applications->unknown sources) Does any one know of any sites that host RELIABLE apps? I know it's kind of early to be asking considering the phone "officially" launched not two days ago, but gotta start some time right? :)

gMote is a good 3rd party app, if you don't mind running your videos from a Java window on your PC . . . and never having to get up from your couch to switch!

It messed up playing a DVD, however :(

Anyhow, I downloaded it off a website and have had no problems with it. That doesn't mean it isn't spyware of some kind?!
