Community Giveaways!!! *Updated*

So with the release of the first Android powered device and our community growing we are going to have different contests and prize giveaways going on from time to time to show how much we appreciate our members.

The only rules to be eligible are:

1) You must be a registered member.

2) You must be a contributing member. This just means 5 or more posts wherever you like. The catch? They can't be senseless posts just to get the qualification. We want you to voice you opinion and join in the discussions here.

Stay tuned for the contests. Some will be triggered by special events such as an anniversary or release date and what not. Others will be completely at random. So keep an eye out.


Alright everyone thank you for the entries. We really would like to have a lot more people participate. You may enter more than once but if you do only one of your entries will be used in the judging. We have decided to raise the stakes a bit and offer this nice package at the bottom.

I am going to call this contest on Tuesday the 30th and then let the users vote till the 3rd at 10:PM, after which we will have a winner!!

We here at AndroidCommunity have finally hit our 1,000 member mark, time to celebrate!! Special thanks to kmartburrito (http://androidcommunity.com/forums/member.php?u=1000) for being the 1,000th member to register! This is the first contest we are going to have, with more to come. I know the suspense for the Dream launch is killing me so I felt I'd add a little more suspense to everyone life by keeping the prize for this contest a secret.

Here is how the contest is going to go:

We are going to have a custom signature/banner contest. Just create an android themed signature, apply it to your profile and post here in this thread. Its that simple. Everyone will have a fair chance to enter. The catch is you must be a registered user with 5 posts or more. The posts can not be senseless either. Your opinion matters here.

Judging will go as follows:
Depending on the amount of submissions, we will narrow down the entries to around 5-10 and allow all the users to vote on them. The contest will run till the start of the T-Mobile Android press event. Giving users a little time to create and perfect there entry.

The contest has been extended until further notice because of the number of participants and the first Android giveaway. Stay tuned!

Soon we will be having point system on the forum. The more you post the more point rewards you get. However if your post is deleted by admin/mods, it will be deducted and you will lose your point. Negative user feedback also has effect on your point.

I can't figure out how to make the image stick as a signature to save my life. I made it smaller than 500 x 100, and less than 9.8k, and it still wouldn't show up. In the meantime, that's my basic premise.

I think there is something in place already where moderator gives reward points / recognizes and appreciates certain comments you make which you can check in your profile page. Once you contribute well with your presence in this forum, there is the way coming our way where you will be awarded with something ...

To All,

I would like to thank AndroidCommunity on the wonderful prize I have won in signature contest. I have received the speakers this morning but just hooked them up few minutes ago.
To remind all it was COM One Bluetooth 2.1 speakers.
I will shortly do video review and post it for everyone to see. I usually do not listen music on my phone but I assure you that is about the change! :)

Speakers sound is very good and you should notice it/hear it on the video review I post in a couple of days.
