hey guys i just got my phone the 21st and when i got it the battery was half full so i took out my charger and charged it till full then took it off then played with it for a while, however the battery would not seem to last too long too me. so the next day i turned everything on that would use the battery up and when it got to 10% i shut everything off that would use the battery and then charged its overnight i started this at 10:00pm till 9:00am its was obviously full so i took it off and i just did some texting at 9am and now its 3 and the battery indicator shows one empty spot on it
so can anyone tell me if this is the correct way to get the most out of your battery?
thx

people say that batteries last long when you run them till they die, but i dont think this holds true with li-ion batteries

This applied to NiCd batteries, but according to battery experts LiION's dont need to have there batteries "taught".

What I did, and am happy with my battery life - 6-8 hours of heavy use including surfing and texting with a couple calls take it to about 15%..
Charged to full before turning on out of box for 3 hours.
Turn off the location functions when not in use.
Set screen bright to default or slightly lower, about 30-40%
charge via wall charger whenever possible
Leave on charger for a little while past green light indicator.
Turn off email auto sync
set screen time-out to 1 minute or less
Charge often, but try to wait until at or below 20%, and let go as long as you can without taking it off.
In my experience, draining your li-ion until it actually shuts down is horrible. I have a blackjack with 4 batteries including one extended, and a dash with 3 batteries. They all worked great, until I let them die all the way and tried to turn the phone back on once with dead battery in. This proved it to me.
That's just me.
Love this thing so far
