The new Blueant V1 headset is finally here. I've had a few days to play around with this bluetooth headset and I love it! The sleek little device is fully voice controlled. Noise cancellation is where this device pull ahead of the rest. It works so well that my jaw dropped the second I heard how crisp and clean the sound was. There was only one time that I heard echoing after switching to high noise cancellation.

This little device boasts a whopping 5 hours of talk time and 200 of standby on a single charge. With a non changeable battery and longer than expected charge time the car charger they offer with it is perfect. Something else I notice that was new to me is the micro USB is used to charge it. Mini USB being the standard these days in headsets.

I have found that setting speed dials to the device when your phone does not have a speed dial list is not fun at all, but its manageable. I love the check battery feature as well as the "call favorite" and "call home" options.

Al around this device is sure to give the Jawbone 2 a run for its money this year. I do recommend picking this one up even being a Jawbone fan myself.

Oh yeah I love it to death! Never been much of a bluetooth fan till lately. I was going to get the Jawbone 2 but this one is just so much better in my opinion. I believe stores are going to sell them for $129 but some places online are offering them for $99.

My thought is to keep it in the car. With more and more cities and states passing laws about cell phones and driving, better to be safe than sorry. Now if they will just do something about the women putting on their makeup while driving!!! LOL

Depending on your phone its not bad. If you have a speed-dial list it will load that for you and you could say call speed dial 3 for instance. If you have the iPhone for instance you can set them in your headset only if they are the last incoming call. So needless to say it takes a while.

You can use several other commands like check battery, check signal, call favorite and redial. I only have to tap the button once to make a call and adjust the volume here and there. Switching between voice isolation modes is as simple as one tap of the button. If it is possible to use the device without hitting the button, you can.

LOL, Too funny Insight!! LOL
Well I still haven't decided... Jawbone and blueAnt seem to be the 2 highest rated! Hmmm... At least researching these kind of things takes my mind off of not having my G1 yet!! LOL

i grabbed a jawbone 2 and it worked really well for the first week. then something happened were the sound cant be turned up anymore? anyone had this happen? and i had unpaired and repaired it 5 times to see if this would fix the problem and no dice for me? kinda sucks. im considering taking it back and exchanging it for a new one. over all when it was working correctly it was awesome and everyone couldnt tell i was on a headset. but now that i can barely hear its worthless. anyone know a fix for this please let me know. thanks.

THe only thing I dont like about the jawbone is there no real volume rocker/mute on it...(there just hidden)

Also you be better of going for the blueant z9i at 50 bucks it a steal and does almost as good as jawbone and v1...

The range on the G1's bluetooth is really horrible. Worse than my Blast and that was Bluetooth 1.0 :( I have the V1 and it is really nice though! Im hoping the range issue isn't from the headset itself.

For me... the Bluetooth would only be used in my car so it doesn't have to have much distance.

BlueAnt's V1 is a voice-controlled Bluetooth headset, allowing you to control most phone functions from the headset thanks to the integrated BlueGenie Voice Interface. Talk to it and it will reply, ask it for assistance and it will assist you in getting the right function.

You can use various other commands to check the battery, then check the signal, your favorite game, and the re-election. I just have to tap the button once to make and adjust the volume here and there. Changing the substitution of sound insulation is as easy as a tap of the button.
