Good news for the people not in 3G

I just called my local T-mobile store and they said they "should" be getting the phone in a few weeks. This is good news for me as it will save me a drive to Atlanta (I am in Columbus, GA 100 miles south of ATL). Anyone else excited about this?

Columbus, Altanta! My basic training was in Fort Benning! I miss the south! The Cottonmouths still play down there?

Or order online. I ordered the G1 this morning around 8:30 ($179, I am a new customer) with overnight shipping. I just got the shipping confirmation from T-Mobile. I'll have it tomorrow.;)

Update: UPS just delivered my G1 30 minutes ago.

I live in a non 3g area as well. I called a local T-mobile store, they said we can either come into the store and they will order it for you or you can order it online as of yesterday. I dont think you have to wait at all.

Yep they sure do still play down here!:) I am still kinda down about the price jump for people that aren't ready for an upgrade from 300 to 350.:(

Yeah I wasn't going to wait so I drove 70 miles to san diego at 5 o clock in the morning yesterday.....but it was wroth it I love this phone

Sorry for the long delay in a reply. Yes, I ordered it Wed morning at 12:07AM EST, and got it the next day. It makes NO sense how the pre-orders got so messed up.

I agree. I was also one who ordered it with overnight delivery on it's official release date and got it the next day. I'm happy I got mine bunk it's really messed up how pre-orders weren't filled first. If I was one who pre-ordered I'd be livid.
