Minutes from taking back my baby... And getting a G1.

I'm an Iphone 3G user. I love my phone, but I can't stand AT&T. Right now I'm paying an outrageous monthly payment, for the phone.. And I can't even use it half the time because I'm out of minutes.

And now that the G1 is coming out, I figured it's time to go back to T-mobile. I was told that being on the list puts me in the 70-80 percent chance of getting it tomorrow at my local store, so I'm getting there at 6:30 (really don't want to wait until next month to start playing with it).

There is no reason for this message, just want to be reassured I'm making the right choice. I do love the Iphone, but I'm hoping I can find the same love in the new G1.

u can always get the 1 and return it if you don't like it. take the risk

ummm I have tried about 8 times now to get to the settings to change my ringsettings, and each time I get distracted by another app.

currently I'm trying to stump shazaam. It identifies music (and well) it correctly got art brut and beethoven's fifth symphony but not his sixth so far.

what I'm saying is right now I'm loving it!!!

Lol, Shazaam said that it doesn't find Live music, but it did! I had a live version of a song on my computer so I tried it out and there it was on the G1, it even said that it was the live edition of the song in the title. I've stumped it a few times, but for the most part it gets pretty much all the songs! I bet with more users of the program, the smarter it will become.

Take it back! Boo for the iPhoney! Lol jk. To each his own. I'm another impatient one. I preordered for the Nov 11th shipment but I can't wait so I'm getting one at the store tomorrow and selling the one I ordered to my friend.

Yeah, I am in my 30 day window with AT&T (the devil). I am taking it back in about a half hour, so I don't go beyond the 30 days.

Just spoke with T-mobile, I'm going to get there around 5:00 in the morning and just wait until they open. They are getting 400 in stock! So I think I have a decent chance of walking out with one.

I did the math and for the 900 minute plan, and the early night and weekend, unlimted text I pay about 142.00 a month with AT&T...

Keep in mind I only call about 4-5 people on a regular basis... If I got the 39.99 myfavs, and the 35 DATA, I'd have more minutes, and I'd be saving close to 60 a month. :eek:

I'm taking a leap of faith and hoping Android ends up being everything the hype says it will be! With your support I can leave the Iphone behind and move on with me life.

You'll be very glad you switched! not only will you save money, but you'll have way more freedom of expression than with a g1! you go get that phone! :D

remember you still have a return window with the g1. so you can make the decision based off your experience with both phones

ur bill was crazy high. i pay 95 a month but i have the cheapest voice plan because i do not talk on the phone that much to none AT&T peeps

Operation return Iphone is complete..


I'm worried about missing out on the T-mobile shipment, so I may get there around 3:00am, and hopefully that will be early enough. It's going to be a long night.

I think I used to have an account over there, but I dont remember. Ive made accounts so many places will ADD'ing, that I cant remember most of them. :D

Thanks for the welcome. About an hour away from heading to studio city, CA to wait for the store to open. Got a feeling I'm going to be way to early, but better safe than sorry.
