Should have my G1 tomorrow and wanted to ask you guys a question. What is the benefit of getting a memory card for the phone? What size would you recommend or perhaps a link to a good deal online for one? What do you store to the memory card, just photos? Thanks in advance

Hi there. Im pretty sure if you search around you will find the answer you are looking for. But to answer your question you can use a MicroSD card for pretty much anything, from TV shows to pictures.

What you want is either a 8 GB (Around $25) or a 16 GB ($60-75).

You'll be able to store virtually anything you want, including full length movies.

Currently the apps save internally. There is internal storage, but I forget the amount.

It's also good to inform that although tiny, it does come with a 1 gig microsd card for you to use out of the box. Try that out.. if you feel you'll really need more storage, then you can look for either an 8gb or 16gb card. Just a suggestion.

i would also get at least a class 4 card. The one I got is a class 6. The faster the better!
