Need Major Help With Google Maps

I'm currently running cyanogen 4.1.11.1 on the Mytouch and the Google maps update will not work.Everytime it download and finishes installing it say "package file was not signed correctly . Anyone have a fix??? Thanks!

I'm not sure what firmware 4.1.11.1 is........is it 1.6?

Yeah its 1.6. . The reason I have the old cyan is cuz the won't load for some reason
