Will Bluetooth Stereo Headsets work MONO on G1?

The only bluetooth headset I have is Stereo. Will those work on the G1, just not in stereo, or will they be useless?

Will music play through the mono, or just phone calls?

assuming they would work, then I heard that they wouldn't until bluetooth was updated, then I heard that an update like that was unlikely. So yeah same question.

i made a thread about this about a week ago, but no clear answer. It is said that we will get a2dp (stereo bluetooth) functionality sooner or later, but it doesn't come out of the box.

I am hoping that it pushes all sounds through the mono bluetooth headset that i have, thats all i ask for.

I currently run a Treo 650 on a2dp, it doesnt come with it outtve the box but there is 3rd party software which solves the problem. I dont understand how a brand new phone doesnt come with BT 2.0:confused:

the hardware is capable... the software (drivers) are not ready yet... not enough man power to build it yet. it seems.

I`m using my iTouch Stereo BT now on a phone call, NO music though :(

U know whats really odd?:eek: When im using my bluetooth to talk to my wife, i can go to the music player and play songs while we are talking:D, the funny thing about that:rolleyes:, i hear it in the blue tooth....you can actually hear it:D. there needs to be a "Toggle button" in options in the player to connect to the blue tooth and play it through the device;). Possible a app might work with it;);)?!?!?!?!?

The A2DP spec won't be fully supported until the Cupcake update.

While everything else in Cupcake sounds great, this is quickly moving up my list as #1 feature whose absence I'm feeling the most with the included wired earbuds now having a crappy connection when calling people (sound is ok on my end but on receiving end painfully noisy static) :(
