Just tried a quick search around, no luck finding any yet though. I might look a little later and If I find something I'll be sure to report back!

What, are you going to wear a batter bandolier or something? 3 batteries! Maybe I should get into the accessories business. Introducing the G1 Battro-lier! From some of the reports on battery life (I say SOME, not all, because our boys here at AC seem to be the only ones having such a big problem...), we're going to need all the batteries we can get for a while.

I hardly use them, but incase I need them, I have them. I got them on Ebay, it was cheaper to buy 2, than buy 1. They have come in handy while camping or something like that where I dont have power to charge it. :)

Anyone have a G1 that can confirm this is the correct battery?

Capacity: 900mAh
EDIT: The official battery is 1150mAh. 900/1150 = 0.78260869565217391304347826086957
~78.2% of the capacity of the official battery.

Run away!

Two other places with them.

I didn't look to hard to the cheapest, but there's probably a better deal. Just do a google search along the lines of HTC dream battery, it'll have a lot of results.

Stay away from anything below the OEM capacity rating.

I'm wondering how much capacity increase we are looking at with the extended battery life units? ~1400-1500 mAh?

yeah I definitely want to stock up on a few also, I have 3 for my MDA as well. I wonder what that high cap battery is all about because that could be sweet. I think I'll wait till after launch though when I can get some reviews on this stuff.

Someone should email them about their "high-capacity" battery. 1400-1500mAh would definitely make it worth $50.

I emailed them.

Look, the G1 suffers from issues with battery life right now. Because of Peukert's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peukert%27s_law) a battery with 78% of the capacity might only give 50% of the runtime, or possibly even less.

I'm only interested in something with about 1400 mAh or more so that I might be able to come close to doubling the G1's runtime.

You can check out g1depot.com they carry emergency/portable battery chargers, even solar powered chargers...

Maybe someone will make something like the JUICE PAK (http://www.mobiletechreview.com/iPod/Mophie-Juice-Pack.htm) for the G1. That way, you carry around a huge battery with your G1 stuck to it. :) Upside it, it will run for days.

as far was the "pocketsolutions.com" extended battery, I haven't got an email back yet, however I was looking at more of their "Dream" accessories and it appears a lot of them are actually for the HTC Touch Pro, see this link for example:

http://www.thepocketsolution.com/PSI-53993.html

So I definitely would hold off on ordering.

I remember for the 1st gen samsung blackberry they gave 2 batteries for the costumer knowing that it would a power drain. Tmob should send us some more. Hopefully that petition for new batteries gets somewhere.
