Data plan "ON" on my MDA - niiice :)

Well as everyone else I have pre-ordered G1. By reading the T-Mobile explanation how G1 will be setup they stated free temporary data plan will be placed onto our accounts so when we get G1 we can set it up.

Well, from my understanding that was only for BBerry and SKick users with existing data plans.

Now, I have MDA and I did not have any data plans whatsoever (surrounded with internet at work and home as well :)) - so I check out if my "edge" connection is working and ... voila - it works as I had the data plan. So if someone needs it and has similar circumstances as I did - well, we do have net-connection :)

Just heads up in the next day or two until we get G1 :)

Thanks. My phone died a month ago, temporarily using razr. Sure enough, all of us have a data plan now.

Trying to use IE on my t-mobile dash, but no go. Anyone from southern ca have their data plan activated yet?

Sweet! I have internet on my Nokia 5300 XpressMusic now! I had to reset my phone to get it to work.

To clarify, back when I actually had a data plan, I was getting EDGE (all caps).

And will continue to do so till you receive your G1 ;) Remember, non of the current T-Mo phones have 3G frequency, just the G1 for now.

I don't think the Pearl supports G3, does it? It doesn't show it when filtering by 3G phones on the T-Mobile website.
