Use G1 headphones on computer?

I just got skype. I am wondering if I should skip buying a headset since our phone comes with one. Anyone know about connecting the mini usb to a computer?

eff the headset that comes with the phone, get a bluetooth headset and a bluetooth usb drive so that you can use one nice wireless headset with both your phone and Skype on your PC.

Having the cord flop aroun your face and stuff all the time get's real old real fast.

Sooooooo, Why exactly would you need skype on a cellphone????

My understanding is that audio in the USB port on the G1 is transferred using a proprietary HTC format, so it won't work with anything other than an HTC device. Not 100% sure, though.
