So I have seen on multiple forums the wifi issues with the magic and hero. I have them both phones myself and both connect fine with Opera mini on wifi, but no data transfer with stock browser or YouTube. So those that have no issues; what model router do you have so I/others can go buy one. With shopsavy can you scan the product code and post. Would help alot of people. Thanks

That's a bit difficult to read, are you saying that you have the HTC Magic and the HTC Hero, and both phones can connect with the opera mini to view websites, but neither can view websites with the default browser or watch videos with the Youtube app?

I too have had problems with the Wifi, hoping they will solve it in the upcoming firmware. However, I found out by pure chance that when all the websites will stall after loading what looks like about 10% and just give me that white screen, ONE website does load. If I go to my bookmarked http://m.eb.dk (which is a Danish news/gossip website for mobile phones), then it loads perfect, AND other sites will load after this one. I have no idea what it does to the browser, but it definitely seems to "open" something to make other sites run. Someone nerdier than I will have to figure out the whys and hows and if we could use it to fix anything. I just know that it works for me.
Hope this is useful.

That is odd. Mine will do something similar and factory browser connects to google just fine and will even load searches but as soon as you try and click on one of the results nothing and even more irritating no youtube via wifi at home

Well for anyone that cares, i went out and bought a Belkin wireless g (30 bucks) versus the better netgear range master and now my wifi works great. Go figure lol. My stock browser works now, and my youtube. So to anyone else if your having issues give it a shot. Its a Belkin G wireless router from Bestbuy

Linksys wireless N.... I had issues too, until I remembered that I had reset the wireless security to only Permit connections to specific listed MAC addresses. As soon as I added the MAC for the Hero, no more problems. So you may want to check your individual router settings to see and if needed add your MAC to the list. Every Linksys router I've ever used has had this option, accessible from pointing PC Browser to 198.162.1.1 Default password is 'admin', i think, but you can usually confirm the IP address and default passwords on your individual router support website.
Hope it helps someone...
