Hands down JACxHERO 1.6, its fast, stable, led's are somewhat working and bluetooth works on the MyTouch

Forgot to mention that the next few updates in the jacxhero roms will be nonwipe so wont have to clear your partitions everytime you update.

All the Hero ROMs have some lag. They are very cool but I need my phone to perform. Haykuro's is probably the best, but the best overall ROM is Cyanogens 4.0.4, it's not Hero, but it's awesomely fast.

I hope you're not referring to haykuro's Hero rom because it's probably the worst!
Either JACxHERo, Drizzy, or Twisted's Hero roms are the best!

Lag is almost nonexistent on the current hero roms if you set em up right.;)

What you raise it to and what size you make the swap?
lmao still at the haykuro hero comment lol, although he did leak the current version of hero and the kernel.

Yes he did leak the current version and I for one am so happy he did! :D
The initial Hero he ported was so bloated and a mess! But whatever!
My swap partition is right around 42MB and my swappiness is set to 40!

Yes not only the user.conf file, I also had to edit the a2sd file as well!
So what are you settings since you're not tame!! lol

What you edit in the a2sd file? I might try that too.
100 swappiness and the great 300 swap size, um about to drop the 300 to 200 today or tomorrow though.:cool::cool:

Why are you changing you swap partition?
Did you"
su
cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
to ensure that you're swappiness is at 100?
Because when I just edited the user.conf file (and not a2sd also) and checked my swappiness it was still at 30!

The command I use is sh /system/bin/swap -s and it always shows my swappiness at 100 and it give you other stats as well, I'm gonna try your command now and see what it says. and when you modify the user.conf file you need to use the one out of the unzipped build and remove and replace the one in the /system/bin with the modified one but if you got to work another way then you good I guess.

You're command won't work for me and I think it's because I'm on Drizzy's Elite 0.5 and there must be some difference.
I think the command I gave you is universal.
That's what I did! I used root explorer though, so much easier! :)

OOOOhhh, your on Drizzy, they use different kernels that look to different files thats why, I'm currently on cyan 4.1.1, um about to nandroid back to hero and try it now.
BTW JAC is using a newer kernel that he modified from haykuro and it owns Drizzy as far as performance lol, Drizzy looks better though.

I don't want to start an argument so I will leave that at that!
The devs fight enough for everyone!! :p
I've tried JAC's latest and I'm back on Drizzy's Elite 0.5! lol
Drizzy is already working on the 2.73 ..... firmware and will be releasing here soon. I'm excited!! :D

I would prefer flashing led's first then BT.
Yeah Drizzy just got hold of the latest WWE 2.73... Asian Hero build as well and will be porting it.
He has a source that hooks him up with all the newest builds.
Him and Jac need to just squash whatever issues they had and just work together!

Nandroid backup and restore is a feature of Cyan's 1.4 recovery.

Currently running MghtyMax 1.9 (look it up over at XDA), and it's AMAZING!
Honestly, JACxHero, Evil, Drizzy, Modacco... they don't compare!
This is a SAPP10000 PVT32B, and this has been only my experience.
I am well familiar with tweaking user.conf, compcache, swapping, vm, etc. Always do that, but best results I got so far were on the mentioned ROM :D
I know the ROMs are constantly updated so can someone tell me what's the best Hero ROM for the myTouch 3G (as of now). I've been wanting the Sense UI before I even got the phone lol.

Thats what i want to know. This thread was started months ago, i just sold my real gsm hero for the droid, but went back to tmobile and settled for the mytouch. I have had the best experience on the qteknology hero roms (using the 2.xx roms, not the 3.xx, i dont know why) but i would like to hear some answers now, with the ever updated hero roms. I like donut, but i miss my hero!
And also, with my g1 i never got into editing conf.xx files or anything like that before, anyone know a good link that has more information on that?
Thanks!
