Been battling the Heros music app to try and get it to function like a half decent player. Has anyone figured out why when you try to play an album by selecting the album, it plays it in alphabetical order instead of sticking to the ID3 track number tags, yet if you start from track 1 it'll play through fine? Also, how do you just see every album on the coverflow system rather than just the currently playing?

Finally, whats a decent music app that replicates some of Music's functions, especially the lock screen controls, in case its just unusuable?

Im having problems with hero music app too on the G1. Cant seem to find any of my 500+ music files aside from 13 for some reason. Anyone else having this problem or knows how to fix it.

I seemed to find, other than the above problems, that using WMP to sync to the phone works well. Organises it into the correct folders so Music can see them.

Not had problems with the tracks playing in the wrong order when playing an album. I used banshee to transfer the tracks from ubuntu which worked great. I do find the player a bit limited and quirky though. The way it organises the all songs playlist alphabeticaly rather than by album seems bizarre. And I haven't found a way of queueing another album onto the now playing list yet which is really frustrating...
