Nah - the managers get a free G1 for completing a training seminar on the thing. That's how I got to play with one for a few hours the other day - the manager let me try theirs. I think that's the idea... they're supposed to drum up buzz for the device. Better question: does something with 1.5M preorders need "drumming?" How many units has iPhone sold so far?

and FYI, according to my research, the iPhone took 74days to sell 1million units. So, again I say according to MY research, the G1 outsold the iPhone in the first 2 weeks of availability.
