Just went to my T-mo store here in Buffalo... thought there was no way they would have a demo g1, but sure enough they did. We don't have 3g here, and the store was empty (on a holiday). When I asked, the rep said "let me check" and went into the back and appeared with it. As many have mentioned, it feels great and looks better than pictures. Now for the disappointment, the rep said I could hang out and play with it as long as I wanted, but the darn thing was locked, and the rep didn't know the pass(symbol??). It appears the manager put on a lock code when playing with it. Argghhh! Oh well, I probably shouldn't even have gone to the store, because now I want it more than ever.

You guys should go to the store! It will guarantee you a G1 if your put on a waiting list.

I went to the T-Mobile store by my house, just asking about the phone and got put on a waiting list. I asked what this list is going to do for me, and what my local store is doing is they are going to call everyone on the list a few days before and see if they still intend on buying the phone. If you do, then they will tell you to be there at 7am on the 22nd. They will only let people in the doors who are on the list.

If you want the phone, do this. Not 100% sure if all stores are doing this, so call before you head up there. Kaziko maybe you can tell us if all stores are doing something similar to this.

When I was at Kaz's shop he was telling people to sign up on the list there so I know his shop is doing that.

I went to the mall yesterday in Greensboro N.C. (Four Seasons mall)after one of my Frat meetings to see if they had the demo phone out yet, spoke with the rep that worked there but he stated he couldnt bring it out until they were informed of the exact date to do so since they only had one that they were placing out for display.. lol i respected the response but my facial expression definitely was saying: "just go in the back and get the f******g phone" but of course i didnt want to ruin the chance of actually touching it just incase they are able to display it this week!(fingers crossed) lol this phone has me hype!

just did this for my Dallas store. but i wish i'd known earlier - there are quite a few ahead of me for the white one. h'ever, manager put a star by my name and said he'd do his best if there was an issue. we'll see what happens.

Thanks! I had no choice but pre-order since they won't be selling the G1s in Utah bcoz we don't have 3G here. At least that's what they said at the tmo store.

i went to the tmo store in pamana city today and they had it, i was excited untill it was completly locked, so no tests done or anything, the keyboard and everything is nice, i just think the phone is a little small, other then that it looks sweet

The phone dont look to small, i dont care i just want my phone now lol.

Went and played with 1 earlier at a Frisco Tx store. They had a black and bronze 1, and the bronze my friends ain't bad at all, got sort of a gloss finish to it and as you know the keyboard is more vivid. The black isn't glossy, 1 it's more flat black. Glad I got to see the phone in person, it does look alot better in person, and smaller than what you see in the pics. I didn't stay in the store all day and play with the thing, maybe 10 to 15 minutes at the most. Im excited, glad it'll be out soon, I can say that im 1 of the few who can actually wait till the 22nd. Haven't had much experiance with any 3g phones, this will be my 1st, i've only played around with the I-phone and instinct shortly. My experties is with the sidekicks as I've had all most of them,1,2, and 3. Not sure if it's true but I heard the designer of the sidekicks is the designer behing this phone and that's sort of the feel I got today when playing with this phone. Been looking for the sidekick to finally make a "real' upgrade, this to me is like my sidekick on steroids with a touch screen. Im glad that I stuck in there with T-Mobile as I almost left fot At&t for the I-Phone, Good Job Guys!!!
