i just got back from the t mobile store here in midlothian(south burb), they did not have a g1 but the rep did say they should get it soon. said they were only getting in 30- 40 g1's for the launch date. he also told me that chicago's 3g network wasnt fully launched and that it will all be live on the 20- 21st. now this was only one rep so who knows if any of this is legit. just thought id pass it on to the community !!!

As with anything dealing with T-Mobile, when in doubt ask for a supervisor... the lower on the totem pole the t-mobile employees are... the less informative they truely are.

The T-mobile rep i spoke with on LaSalle (in the loop) told me to check the internet. He said information is posted on message boards before his supervisor tells him. :)
Reading all of these minireviews based on people playing with in store demos got me wondering if anyone in the area has gotten their hands on one in a store. If you have, which store was it?

Now I guess it's a question of whether or not to keep myself a g1 virgin til I get mine. It could be so soon.....

Today, I checked out a couple t mobile stores in the suburbs. Some of them had like 20 in stock, while some are just receiving them later on today. One of them is having 5 or 6 coming in today. So go out there and get them. Check the malls, they might have more. :)
