Alright well my light for Sweeter home is rekindled again, and with that and all its wonderful springboard features :] Comes a little theme I'd like to do.

But I need a better understanding cause I can't seem to get it to work. The Android Dream's screen is 320 x 480. Width/bottom in portrait = 320 and length/vertical = 480.

What I am trying to do is get a photo in those dimensions that would only be viewable when holding the phone sideways. And I guess it just dawned on me now that I have to keep the 320x480 dimensions the photo just has too look funny?

I'm not sure :|

But anywho if someone could direct me to some decent background photos or just help me out here I'll surely have some good screen shots to post soon :]

[So I want the wall paper picture to be set up in portrait mode, but only really recognizable in landscape. I'm obviously not a math wiz, sorry to disappoint.]

A recognisable picture sideways would be recognisable in portrait, you have the exact same field of view of the image.

But if you mean you just want a picture in 480*320 then yes you can do that, it would just look sideways when you hold the phone upright.

Just find any image and crop / resize it. 480*320 is a bit over 16:10 ratio which is normal widescreen resolution for most things (16:9 is very popular too).... i.e. a widescreen desktop wallpaper would look ok, just put it on the sd card and use the built in crop tool.

Or is that not what you meant?

Oh, edit: you would need to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise if it was a desktop wallpaper, before putting it on your phone.

That shines a lot of light on it for me, the only real problem is that when I rotate the photo to look right in landscape when I set it it sets in portrait and I can't seem to get it set the way I want it too :/

But I believe this is just an settings thing I can't work around so its kinda tough. I'm trying though, I think I'm going to settle on an imagine with no real view points so it can be viewed either which way.
