Uh-huh. Paper. As in a fake check from the guy in Nigeria you ship your phone to never to be seen again.
I do NOT expect supply and demand to set anyone up to make good money off of ebaying this phone. Sure, we've seen the big sales of the phones on eBay. Most of them are probably Nigerians claiming to be selling the phones, who will want to buyers to Western Union the money to themm and the people will never get the phones. And the legit ones going for really high prices? Scammers bidding high hoping to defraud someone out of a real phone.
The phone is still available, and will be available in the stores. It won't be usable on other networks for some time (not on non-T_Mobile 3G networks in the US ever), so it just isn't going to have that "Camp out, buy one for $179, flip it on eBay for $600 magic. Anyway, you're going to have to commit to a 2-year contract on T-Mobile to guy one anyway. It'll run you about $200 to cancel that contract before it's all said and done. So, you're going to have to sell the thing for $500-600 JUST TO BREAK EVEN anyway. No such thing as easy money, guys.

Well I would buy them at 400 bucks a piece. And give me more credit...I don't get scammed especially on ebay or craigslist. And no I wouldnt set up new lines to buy them at 179.99 but yeah thanks for the info.
You must not like Nigerians? ;)

My point was that there are probably NO legitimate sales of the phone on ebay where it is going for more than its current value. There' just no reason for it. There may be some legit sellers and some legit buyers out there involved in these sales, but the two are not going to meet at prices of 5 and 600.
An, no, I'm no fan of Nigerian scammers.
