Hey guys, I pre-ordered my phone kind of late (Oct. 4), and it should arrive November 10th. My question is, since I have already pre-ordered, can I just go pick one up on October 22nd at a local T-Mobile Store? Or do I HAVE to wait until the 10th of November?

Pre-orders are handled differently than in-store renewals/extensions. I guess you could try to go to a store on the 22nd and attempt to get one...if you do, go ahead and cancel your pre-order.

You can't cancel preorders. You have to refuse delivery or mail it back to some address they list.

He's right you have to ship the phone back when you get it. I would just sell the extra one on ebay if i was you.

i thinkthe preorder is a price thing. $179 for pre order, $299 for public.. isn;t that the whole idea?

You will most definitely have to wait for it. Unless your fork out the fill phone price and want two.

what is the deal with everyone having this misconception...its 179 for new non existing customers and 299 with a 2 year contract extention for current tmo customers and god know how expensive it will b with out an extension due to the fact that it has not launched yet but i guess it will be about 500

I'm Sorry but you are wrong.

I am a current T-mobile customer, and I pre-ordered it for $179..

The full price of the phone is $399..

I have no idea where this $299 price is coming from, unless you do not qualify for the full discount..

179 is for people who ARE ELIGIBLE for an upgrade or brand new customers. :) 299 is for us who renew..

t-mo said that it's 179 for new customers and if your 11 months or more into a one year contract and 22 months on 2 years. It will remain that because I confirmed being elegible for the discount again in December with my 2 other lines. The 299 is for exsisting customers not yet elegiable for an up grade.

Well i had to cough up $299 for the phone, but I was not aware that I had to wait until November 10th to get it while everyone else get their phones the 22nd of October. I will go on the 22nd and see what the rep tells me, usually when people are good to the associate they sometimes try to help the customer out. Like when I call T-Mobile and tell me I was careless about my minutes and that I'm worried I will pass my limit, when I get a nice associate they just credit my account with a few extra minutes.

Guess I'm just going to have to wait and see what happens, I don't plan on purchasing two.

That's pretty much what I would do.. If you can get a better deal at the T-mobile store on the day they come out, then do it, and refuse the shipment when your preorder comes in the mail...
