Can you change the color of the trackball? I just ordered mine today. Just wondering if anyone knew.

lol, i wish there was.
@ the op....you just ordered a tracball or a phone?
i'm sure the space between the contacts and the tracball is extremely small. small enough that even a light coat of nail polish would degrade it's performance,or render it useless. i wouldn't bother if i were you. nice idea, but risky in my opinion. even greasy fingers from pizza greatly affect it's performance. i know this for a fact. love my buffalo wings and pizza.

Serious answer. If you DID happened to find other colored trackballs for sale that fit. I don't see why not. They have colored keys for the keyboard that you can buy and replace.

my father received his mytouch yesterday . today , i got to play with it and teach him how to use it . theres one cool thing about the mytouch , which is cooler than my g1 . the trackball . it lights up ! so , i imagine there could be , if there isnt , an app that would light up a different color .

Don't think so, I have a black Rogers Magic. Trackball flashes white on mine and I haven't found a way to change it. Maybe the carrier changed to the Red?? :)

I've got a black myTouch, and my trackball blinks white.
By the way, the 1st Blackberry Pearl, the 8100, had a track ball that lit up in white. Apparently, the way it was designed was with multi-colored LED's, which, combined, created white!
Some smart developer came out with a program that allowed users to change the color of the trackball... you could have it blink blue, purple, pink, red... etc, by turning on and off certain colored leds!
Eventually, there were two or three programs that did this!
Alas... with the release of the update to the 8100, RIM changed the design on the lights for the trackball, and apparently went with a white light.
No more changing of the trackballs color...
and the people were sad.......

Sorry I wasnt very clear in my question. I just ordered the MT3G, and was wondering if the trackball will only light up white, or if there are different colors for different notifications!!!!!!
