hi all i am wanting the unlock code for my g1 looked on the forum and read alot of folk saying just phone tmobile and you can get them. so i just rang asked for the codes and they are asking for 15 pounds is this so or was the person i spoke to just trying to have me over?

how long have you been with tmobile ? for customers that have been with tmobile for a while , its free . for new customers , its a whole different story . are you even with tmobile ? if youre not with tmobile , then there probably is a charge .

i believe you need to be with tmobile for 6 months to get the unlock code for free

if your in the UK, then yes this is normal

Yup... in the UK they charge for it. In the U.S. you need to have had an account for at least 3 months, and be paid up in full, in order to get an unlock code.

That's true, and your account must be in good standing. If they didn't give you your code yet, and you still want it for free, we can unlock it for you.
